Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a lifecycle management plan for each customer
  • Continuously maintain Surrogate’s architectural principles
  • Prepare and present scope of work projects to customers
  • Act as primary contact for escalations and training
  • Create process and procedures and new technology checklists where needed for Surrogate and for its customers
  • Communicate with internal resources to resolve challenging issues
  • Participate in project development and/or lead projects by monitoring progress and customer satisfaction
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot and provide hardware and software support for typical hardware and applications used in small and medium businesses.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and members of the Surrogate team.
  • Work independently and, where necessary, draw on internal resources to seek input on questions, problems, or issue clarification
  • Plan, prioritize and organize workload
  • Travel independently to client locations
  • Be flexible regarding work hours
  • Contribute to a collegial, positive workplace culture
  • Represent the company brand professionally and appropriately.


Preferred Credentials and Additional Skills

  • The successful candidate must have proven leadership and a track record demonstrating progressive IT experience
  • You are able to lead projects, work with internal teams, and work with customers to facilitate and determine direction.
  • You have the ability to resolve complex technical issues, provide accurate analysis and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • You have solid customer service experience
  • You have strong interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You understand ITIL foundations.


Training/experience in the following would be considered an asset:

  • Architecture principles
  • Microsoft server operating systems
  • Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare)
  • Networking methodologies
  • Microsoft applications (Exchange, SQL, RDS, AD)
  • Cloud computing and services
  • Apple iOS and Android mobile operating systems
  • Office 365
  • A strong interest in cybersecurity
